Sarcos Robotics, a developer of exoskeletons and other robotic systems, has signed up Pine Environmental Services as an official distributor.

Pine Environmental is a professional services company providing equipment for environmental monitoring, nondestructive testing, visual inspection, and continuous emissions monitoring.

GE Appliances and Google partner to build ‘next-generation smart home appliances’

GE Appliances, a Haier company, and Google Cloud have agreed a multi-year partnership to build innovative technologies to elevate the consumer experience in the kitchen and in homes.

As the company continues to reinvent itself and the appliance business, GEA turned to Google Cloud for its world-class expertise in data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to accelerate this evolution – and will integrate these capabilities into its entire appliance development process, from ideation to the production line.

ABB to acquire autonomous mobile robot maker ASTI

ABB says it will acquire ASTI Mobile Robotics Group, an autonomous mobile robot manufacturer with a broad portfolio across all major applications enabled by the company’s software suite.

This will expand ABB’s robotics and automation offering, making it the only company to offer a complete portfolio for the next generation of flexible automation.

Alexander Lewinsky has joined the management of IDS Imaging Development Systems as of August 1.

The shareholders of IDS Imaging Development Systems appointed Alexander Lewinsky to the management board.

The engineer (BEng, MSc) will take over the operational management of the Obersulm-based industrial camera manufacturer together with Jan Hartmann. Managing partner and company founder Jürgen Hartmann remains responsible for development and product management. Musashi AI, 634AI and Suzuyo to collaborate in installing autonomous mobile robots in logistics centers in Japan

Musashi AI, a group company of Japanese Musashi Seimitsu Industry Company, has successfully completed a proof of concept for Autonomous Mobile Robots at Suzuyo, a Japanese third-party logistics company, in partnership with 634AI, a Musashi Group affiliated company and the developer of Maestro, an industrial automation and mobility management software.

Suzuyo, a Japanese logistics conglomerate with an annual turnover of circa $1.2 billion, successfully tested Musashi AI’s AMR powered by Maestro, a platform-agnostic control tower for logistics automation developed by Israeli company 634AI.

The AMR autonomously moved pallets in the facility from one location to another smoothly and efficiently. The proof of concept was performed in Suzuyo’s Shinshizuoka distribution center in Shizuoka prefecture. Sarcos Robotics and T-Mobile team up to integrate 5G into Guardian XT exoskeleton robot

Sarcos Robotics, a developer of robotic exoskletons, and telecommunications company T-Mobile, have agreed a collaboration to integrate T-Mobile 5G into the Sarcos Guardian XT highly dexterous mobile industrial robot.

The Guardian XT robot is a remote-controlled robotic system designed to help humans safely work in hazardous conditions, performing tasks such as lifting heavy materials or using power tools at significant heights.

With T-Mobile 5G integration, the companies aim to improve performance and response time for remote operations, so the robots can perform tasks more quickly and more in tune with their operator’s movements. John Deere acquires Bear Flag Robotics for $250 million

Deere & Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bear Flag Robotics for $250 million.

Founded in 2017, the Silicon Valley-based startup develops autonomous driving technology compatible with existing machines – essentially, it retrofits existing tractors with patented artificial intelligence technology.

Deere says the deal “accelerates the development and delivery of automation and autonomy on the farm” and supports the company’s long-term strategy to create smarter machines with advanced technology to support individual customer needs. Einride partners with Bridgestone to develop electric and autonomous trucks
