A long-standing wood processing company in the Black Forest, Germany, is facing challenges in maintaining efficiency and ergonomics in a tight labor market.

To tackle this issue, the company has implemented partial automation through the use of euroTECH’s vacuum lifter solution for loading the crosscut saw.

Europalco buys two robots from Kuka to add ‘wow factor’ to shows

Europalco, a Portuguese company which claims to be “the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe”, has recently invested in two Kuka robots to “create differentiating events with a new ‘wow factor’” for its clients.

Europalco plans to use the Kuka KR210 robots in many ways, with LED walls, LCD, lasers, and even artists or people assisting the events. The robots can hold, move, or animate monitors or video screens. They can also be used to produce props and mobile stage designs. The range of applications is limitless.

Security robots ‘deter crime and minimize risk’, says Knightscope

The concept of automated policing began as a science fiction concept years ago, but today it is “real and impactful”, according to security robotics specialist Knightscope.

The sophistication of robot-powered security is even more interesting than sci-fi to Stacy Stephens, the co-founder and chief client officer of Knightscope.

ForwardX Robotics launches competition to win free fleet of robots

ForwardX Robotics is running a competition to win a fleet of 10 autonomous mobile robots as part of a warehouse automation system.

ForwardX Robotics, a supplier of AMR-based assisted picking solutions worldwide, launched the competition at the ProMat Show, which is in its final day today. The company says it will giveaway a 10-AMR system to a lucky winner in the United States.

MasterMover partners with BlueBotics for AGV Navigation

Exotec, a warehouse robotics provider, says it is seeing “continued rapid growth” in North America as the company continues its global expansion, adding that the business momentum is driven by the growing demand for warehouse automation.

Wingtra lands $22 million funding round for its commercial drones

The business use case and appetite for drone technology is growing rapidly, a marketplace that was worth $29.8 billion in 2022 and is growing 38.6 percent annually.

Serving this demand, Wingtra, which claims to be the world’s largest producer of commercial vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drones, has closed a $22 million series B funding round as they accelerate their operations globally.

The funding round included DiamondStream Partners, EquityPitcher Ventures, Verve Ventures, the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund), ACE & Company, John L. Seoul Robotics establishes office at Curiosity Lab in Peachtree Corners

Peachtree Corners, a tiny US town which claims to be “one of the world’s first smart cities powered by real-world connected infrastructure and 5G”, has been chosen by Seoul Robotics as a new location for its company.

Seoul Robotics has established its United States office in Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners. The company’s presence in Curiosity Lab will fuel further development of its groundbreaking 3D perception platform, while providing the company with a real-world testing environment along Peachtree Corners’ city streets.

William Muller, vice president of business development for Seoul Robotics, says: “With our 3D smart infrastructure solutions already deployed in areas across the Southeast, establishing an office within Curiosity Lab was the logical next step as we continue to expand our US presence.
