Online retailer Tobi installs inVia Robotics technology in its Reno warehouse

Online fashion retailer Tobi has installed robots in its supply chain to speed up the processing of orders.

inVia Robotics, the provider of warehouse automation solutions supplying Tobi, says the e-commerce company has chosen its picker robots and its cloud-based Robotics-as-a-Service management system to optimize fulfillment in its warehouse in Reno, Nevada, US.

Warehouse automation: Interroll looking to expand operations

DHL supports Japanese online tailor-made clothing launch in Germany

DHL Global Forwarding’s Start-up Helpdesk in Berlin is currently supporting Japanese e-tailer Zozo with its market launch in Germany.

The firm sells its custom-fitted apparel in over 70 countries and consumers in Germany can now also use the Zozo app to have individualised t-shirts, shirts and trousers delivered to their home.

DHL’s tailored supply chain solution for Zozo includes transport by rail, air and ocean freight from China to Germany, customs clearance services, as well as the last mile delivery to customers via DHL Parcel and Deutsche Post.

Delivery robots market projected to grow at 20 percent a year

The delivery robots market is expected to grow from $11.9 billion in 2018 to $34 billion by 2024, at an annual growth rate of 19.15 percent, according to ReportLinker.

Much of the demand will come from the e-commerce sector, according to the researcher.

Swisslog secures ‘major orders’ worth €17 million for its warehouse management solution

Swisslog has secured what it describes as “major orders” for its warehouse management solution from three customers.

The projects involve AutoStore and SAP EWM applications, and are in China, Austria, and Switzerland.

Geek Plus Robotics to launch new products at Asian logistics event

Geek Plus Robotics is planning to launch new warehouse automation products at Last Mile Fulfilment Asia 2019.

Geek Plus says it will demonstrate a moving system, M100, and the upgrade version of picking system, P800, at Last Mile Fulfilment Asia in Singapore on 27 and 28 March 19.

Scallog installs 60 robots and eight picking stations for Decathlon warehouses in Germany

Scallog, short for “scalable logistics”, has completed two installations in Germany for its client Decathlon, one of the world’s largest retailers of sports goods. 

The installation includes a site with a fleet of 60 robots and eight preparation or picking stations on the Mannheim site.

Tompkins Robotics adds new product to parcel sortation suite

Tompkins Robotics has launched t-Sort Plus, a new product offering in the t-Sort unit and parcel sortation system suite.

The t-Sort system is a robotic material handling system and has applications for both unit and parcel sortation.
