Carbon Robotics raises $70 million Series D investment round

Carbon Robotics, a developer of AI-powered, autonomous farming vehicles and technology, has raised $70 million in Series D financing.

The financing was led by new investor BOND with participation from existing investors NVentures (Nvidia’s venture capital arm), Anthos Capital, Fuse Venture Capital, Ignition Partners, Revolution, Sozo Ventures, and Voyager Capital.

This round brings total company funding to $157 million. As part of the financing, Mood Rowghani, general partner at BOND, will join Carbon Robotics’ Board of Directors.

Robotics Plus showcases multi-use autonomous vehicle for orchards and vineyards

New Zealand-based agritech company Robotics Plus showcased its autonomous, multi-use, hybrid vehicle for agriculture – Prospr – at the recent FIRA USA event.

Designed to carry out a variety of orchard and vineyard crop tasks more efficiently and sustainably while reducing reliance on labor, Prospr was launched last year at FIRA, an event dedicated to autonomous agriculture and agricultural robotics solutions.

Technotrade and Briggs & Stratton provide power to agricultural robot built by Cronos

Technotrade has partnered with Briggs & Stratton to provide a power solution for the newly developed Cronos Quadro, an autonomous agricultural robot developed by a Czech startup Cronos Machines.

Cronos was founded by Technotrade as an independent research and development unit, with a mission to change the agricultural industry with the development of highly intelligent machines and robotic solutions for automated farming and grounds maintenance.

In developing its latest multi-functional autonomous machine, that helps farmers increase labour efficiency and save costs, Cronos needed to find a unique power solution that could withstand the demands of everyday farming.

Solinftec showcases its new docking station for agricultural robots

Solinftec, a developer of artificial intelligence solutions and sustainable agricultural practices, has showcased its newest development in the field of agricultural robotics: the docking station.

Announced at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, the launch of this new development will allow Solix Ag Robotics to “operate 100 percent autonomously throughout the season, without the need for a manual refill”.

The docking station is autonomous, solar-powered and integrated with the Solix platform. This new technology enables continuous field management by ensuring the robot has access to the necessary products for 24/7 operations. New Holland partners with Bluewhite to develop autonomous farming vehicles

New Holland, a brand of CNH, and Bluewhite, a developer of autonomous technology, have agreed a multi-phase partnership to collaborate on distribution, manufacturing, and integration of Bluewhite’s autonomous solutions for New Holland tractors in North America.

This partnership will enable New Holland tractors to operate fully autonomously in orchards, vineyards and other specialty crop operations.
