Delta Electronics unveils new collaborative robot integrating Nvidia simulation technology

November 14, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Delta Electronics, a Taiwanese provider of robotics and power management solutions, has unveiled what it describes as “a major advancement” in robotics simulation.

Its flagship product, the D-Bot Series Collaborative Robots (cobots), now integrates with Nvidia Omniverse – a platform of application programming interfaces (APIs), software development kits, and services that enable developers to harness Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) for physical AI – and Nvidia Isaac Sim, a reference simulation platform built on Omniverse for designing and testing robots.

This integration empowers developers to achieve real-time, high-fidelity, physically accurate simulations that dramatically enhance the development, testing, and deployment of advanced robotic solutions. What is ICCID? Understanding SIM Card Number Check Codes and ICCID Numbers

October 29, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Effective SIM card management is becoming more and more important in the world of IoT (Internet of Things). One of the most important components of a SIM card is the ICCID, a unique identifier that plays a key role in managing and identifying SIM cards.

In this article, we will explore what an ICCID is, how it differs from other SIM identifiers, and why it is so important for managing IoT SIM cards. We will also discuss how ICCID numbers are used to manage and track SIM cards in IoT devices.

InOrbit brings RobOps to advanced robot simulations powered by Nvidia

January 16, 2024 by David Edwards

InOrbit, provider of cloud-based robot operations (RobOps) software, is collaborating with Nvidia to “blend reality and simulation in robot deployments”.

This work takes the recently launched InOrbit missions to a new level, enabling end users such as logistics providers to define missions once, execute them in both simulated and real environments, and analyze the results through a single pane of glass, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI-powered robotics technology and real-world applications at scale.

InOrbit leverages the Nvidia Isaac Sim extensible robotics simulator powered by Nvidia Omniverse to model complex environments and robot behaviors that closely match the real world. [Read more…] about InOrbit brings RobOps to advanced robot simulations powered by Nvidia

Soft Robotics using Nvidia simulation technology to develop its gripping system

February 16, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Soft Robotics has applied Nvidia Isaac Sim’s synthetic data to food processing automation in efforts to improve safety and increase production.

Developers have been striving to close the gap on robotic gripping for the past several years, pursuing applications for multibillion-dollar industries. Securely gripping and transferring fast-moving items on conveyor belts holds vast promise for businesses.

Soft Robotics, a Bedford, Massachusetts startup, is harnessing Nvidia Isaac Sim to help close the sim to real gap for a handful of robotic gripping applications. One area is perfecting gripping for pick and placement of foods for packaging. [Read more…] about Soft Robotics using Nvidia simulation technology to develop its gripping system
