Abu Dhabi’s SkyGo invests in commercial drones provider Airobotics for goods transportation

Airobotics and Sky Go Transport of Goods, a UAE-based company with commercial license to provide unmanned aerial transport of goods and services across the city of Abu Dhabi, have agreed a joint venture to provide aerial drone services to the city of Abu Dhabi.

Airobotics is a wholly-owned subsidiary Ondas Holdings, a provider of private industrial wireless networks and commercial drone and automated data solutions.

As a part of the partnership, Airobotics, subject to the finalization of required formalities, has received an initial multi-system purchase order for $3.5 million from SkyGo. Foxconn plans to build autonomous vehicles on Nvidia computing platform

Foxconn, one of the world’s largest contract manufacturers and Apple’s main iPhone maker, is planning to build autonomous cars and will use Nvidia chip technology to do so.

Nvidia and Hon Hai Technology Group – Foxconn’s domestic name – have agreed a strategic partnership to develop automated and autonomous vehicle platforms.

Uber Eats and Cartken partner to offer sidewalk robot deliveries

Uber Technologies, and Cartken, a delivery robots company, have formed a new partnership for food deliveries via automated robots in Miami, Florida. Uber Eats consumers in Miami will have the opportunity to have orders delivered by Cartken’s self-driving robot.

Starting today, Uber and Cartken will begin operating with select merchants in the Dadeland area of Miami-Dade County with plans to expand in Miami-Dade and to additional cities in 2023.

Cartken’s AI-powered sidewalk delivery robots currently are used for neighborhood food and grocery delivery, campus meal delivery and curbside pickup across the country. Autonomous trucking company Einride launches in Benelux with brewing giant AB InBev

Einride, the freight mobility technology company that provides digital, electric, and autonomous shipping, has launched in Benelux in partnership with one of the world’s leading brewers, AB InBev.

With Einride’s fully electric fleet of connected, heavy duty trucks the partnership is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 500 tonnes annually.
