Tesollo unveils new gripper solution for display film peeling automation

Unitree unveils new A2 quadruped robot with 100 kg load capacity and 20 km range

Unitree Robotics has launched its most advanced quadruped robot to date – the Unitree A2 – positioning it as a rugged and versatile platform for industrial deployment across inspection, logistics, and research applications. (See video below.)

Weighing 37 kg (81.6 lbs) unloaded, the A2 boasts a maximum standing load of 100 kg (220 lbs) and can walk while carrying up to 25 kg (55 lbs).

On a single charge, the robot can walk continuously for up to 20 km (12.4 miles) unloaded, or 12.5 km (7.8 miles) when fully loaded. Sinbon doubles US manufacturing footprint to ‘meet growing demand in industrial robotics, automotive, and renewable energy sectors’

Taiwanese electronics system integrator Sinbon Electronics says it plans to build a new 59,000-square-foot facility in Clayton, Ohio, more than doubling its US manufacturing footprint.

Backed by approximately $8.5 million in investment, the expansion into the revamped facility is expected to bring jobs to up to 200 total at the facility and enhance production for key US industries, including smart manufacturing, automotive, and renewable energy.

The launch represents a major milestone in bolstering Sinbon’s innovation for US customers, regional supply chain resilience, and long-term regional presence. AtkinsRéalis and Kinova extend strategic partnership in nuclear robotics

AtkinsRéalis, an engineering services and nuclear company, and Canadian robotic developer Kinova have agreed an extension of their global strategic partnership for a further three years.

This renewed collaboration will help advance the integration of cutting-edge robotic technology in the nuclear sector globally, building on the successful deployment of Kinova’s robotic arm within the patented AtkinsRéalis Remote Glovebox Operation (ARGO) system in the United Kingdom, with demonstration units also operating at the AtkinsRéalis Technology Center (ATC) in Richland, US, and in Montreal, Canada.

The ARGO system was recently used in a world-first deployment at the Sellafield site in the UK, retrofitting a nuclear glovebox with a robotic arm in a successful demonstrator project that proves viability to use at scale across nuclear decommissioning sites. HD shipbuilding unit partners with Persona AI to implement humanoid welding robots

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) and HD Hyundai Robotics has signed a “landmark” agreement with Persona AI, a developer of embodied artificial intelligence, and robotics integration and manufacturing firm Vazil company. 

The agreement, signed during a formal ceremony in Houston, Texas, initiates a joint program to create humanoid robots capable of performing complex welding tasks in shipyard environments.

This strategic partnership aims to usher in a new era of human-machine collaboration. The initiative will deliver prototype humanoids by the end of 2026, with field testing and full commercial deployment scheduled to begin in 2027.
