Employee management software provider Rippling raises $500 million in Series E financing

Rippling, a provider of automated software for employee management, has raised $500 million in a round led by Greenoaks. The round values the company at $11.25 billion, the same as the company’s Series D financing in May 2022.

This was an unusual round, raised in record time and for a purpose that ultimately resolved on its own. It all started on Friday, March 10th at 5.30 am PST.

Indian startup Unbox Robotics launches sortation robots in the US

Unbox Robotics, an India-based robotics technology company for intralogistics, plans to expand its footprint in the international markets starting with the United States.

With proven success within the domestic 3PL industry, the company is looking to make its tech available to meet the current demand for innovative plug and play automation solutions in the US.

Rocla launches new automated compact truck for warehouses and loading docks

A Finland-based company called Rocla AGV has launched a new, agile AGV – named “ACT”, short for automated compact truck – designed to lift heavy loads in narrow spaces.

ACC picks Segula to help build three gigafactories in Europe

The European automotive market is rapidly electrifying, and the need for batteries to equip vehicles is increasing.

According to the European Commission, demand will increase 12-fold between 2018 and 2030.

Ambi Robotics and OSM partner to automate parcel sortation systems

Ambi Robotics, a provider of AI-powered robotic solutions for parcel sorting operations, has agreed a commercial partnership with OSM Worldwide, a global parcel and logistics services company.

Under the partnership, Ambi Robotics will deploy its flagship AmbiSort A-Series system to OSM Worldwide’s warehouse locations in Atlanta, Chicago, and Las Vegas in a minimum four-year Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) agreement.

Zorabots partners with QSS to showcase humanoid robot and plans to establish robotics joint venture in Saudi Arabia

Robotics and software company Zorabots have started talks to create joint venture with Saudi tech company QSS. The news comes after the two companies jointly presented what is believed to be Saudia Arabia’s first domestically created humanoid robot, called “Sara” (main picture and below).

Sara is being presented at the renowned tech event LEAP, being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the sophisticated humanoid has been declared by relevant authorities as a “Saudi tech jewel”.

The robot was developed by tech company QSS with the support of Zorabots. Due to the “overwhelming success” of Sara, Zorabots and QSS signed an agreement for further cooperation. Estonian robotics startup Cleveron wins patent case against Chinese company

Cleveron, an Estonian developer of parcel terminals and robots, has won a case against the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in the Beijing Intellectual Property Court and invalidated a Chinese company’s patent.

In 2017, Cleveron discovered that a Chinese company had registered under its name an invention previously already invented by Cleveron.
