DJI’s launches new commercial drone

DJI, the world’s largest civilian drones and aerial imaging technology company, has launched a new drone, which “sets a new standard for any commercial drone operator”, according to the company.

It adds that the DJI Matrice 350 RTK (M350 RTK) “redefines the ultimate tool for the commercial drone industry”.

Stilfold patents its ‘industrial origami’ manufacturing technology

Swedish design and technology company Stilfold – the parent company of electromobility startup Stilride – has been granted its first patent right for its innovative “industrial origami” manufacturing technology.

Stilfold’s technology enables designers to produce complex, light and sustainable structures by folding flat sheet metal over curves using computational design and advanced robotics.

Netrush and Brightpick partnership ‘cuts fulfillment costs by 50 percent’

At a time when consumer expectations have never been higher and a positive workplace culture is more crucial than ever, e-commerce growth expert Netrush is investing in a solution that the company says is “sure to help the company further improve customer and employee satisfaction while also enabling it to significantly reduce costs”.

The initiative is part of an agreement between Netrush and its newest partner Brightpick, whose warehouse automation solutions “have helped e-commerce retailers cut order fulfillment costs by as much as 50 percent”, according to the companies.

Nauticus Robotics and Leidos agree $2.7 million contract extension

Nauticus Robotics, a developer of autonomous robots using artificial intelligence for data collection and intervention services for the ocean economies, has been awarded an additional $2.7 million under its current contract with Leidos, science and technology company.

The funded a extension allows continued development of an Aquanaut-derivative in preparation for customer adoption decisions and government opportunities expected later this year.

The state-of-the-art subsea platform, an unmanned underwater vehicle (“UUV”) with advanced artificial intelligence, sensing capabilities, and more can perform a growing number of jobs without hazarding human divers. European retail giant Otto Group to install more than 100 Covariant robots at fulfilment centres

Otto Group, one of the largest online retailers in Europe, is entering into a long-term strategic partnership with Covariant, an AI robotics company. 

Covariant’s AI-powered robots will be used to automate a wide range of manual fulfilment activities that require hand-eye coordination and object manipulation – supporting Otto Group to enhance services for its customers and to take another important step towards a digitalized and AI-driven future.

The Otto Group will deploy Covariant robots to increase operational efficiency, build resilience against labour market challenges, and improve the overall quality of work within their fulfilment centres. Tormach robots help ‘triple’ welding efficiency of concrete company

Kiwibot, a robotic sidewalk delivery company, is now available at Shenandoah University to ensure an affordable on-campus food delivery service for students.

With 15 robots operating at Shenandoah University, students profit from speedy food delivery with zero carbon emissions, reducing the carbon footprint on campus.

BlueBotics to showcase its robotics technology at LogiMAT after acquisition by Zapi

BlueBotics, a Zapi Group company specializing in vehicle automation, will stage a multi-brand automated vehicle demonstration in the Zapi Group/BlueBotics booth (#6B61 in hall 6).

This demo will include: two autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), two automated pallet trucks, and a larger forked automated guided vehicle (AGV) in simultaneous operation, all managed simultaneously by the company’s mission and fleet management software, ANT server.

Ukrainian startup Deus Robotics secures $1.5 million seed round funding for warehouse robotics solutions

Deus Robotics, a Ukrainian startup specializing in warehouse robotics engineering and software development, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from SMRK VC, a Ukrainian venture fund.

The investment will help the company attract new customers in the US and Europe and expand its line of robotic warehouse solutions.

Deus Robotics specializes in full-cycle projects, including hardware engineering, software development, and integration, focusing on automating warehouse and logistics operations.
