Employee management software provider Rippling raises $500 million in Series E financing

Rippling, a provider of automated software for employee management, has raised $500 million in a round led by Greenoaks. The round values the company at $11.25 billion, the same as the company’s Series D financing in May 2022.

This was an unusual round, raised in record time and for a purpose that ultimately resolved on its own. It all started on Friday, March 10th at 5.30 am PST.

Trimble unveils new ‘advanced’ path planning technology

Trimble has unveiled its new advanced path planning technology. This software-based technology gives Trimble end users and equipment manufacturers the ability to optimize and automate the trajectory, speed and overall path design of industrial equipment to increase efficiency of work.

Manufacturers worldwide can now provide their customers with an easy-to-integrate, automated solution that works not only with Trimble systems, but also with an equipment manufacturer’s existing system.

Fuzzy Logic Robotics unveils new robot simulation software

Fuzzy Logic Robotics has launched its “no-code industrial robot programming and simulation software”, Fuzzy Studio, on its website.

Fuzzy Studio allows non-experts in robotics to create virtual cells and control industrial robots, enabling them to robotize their production at an affordable price and lower risk, even in situations that were once considered impossible, such as for small batches or complex parts.

Sevensense Robotics to showcase its Alphasense Autonomy Evaluation Kit at ProMAT

Swiss 3D visual autonomy provider Sevensense Robotics says it is planning to present its Alphasense Autonomy Evaluation Kit at ProMAT 2023.

The software would enable “off-the-shelf prototyping solutions” for manufacturers of autonomous mobile robots, says the company.

Sevensense says automation has the potential to “exponentially increase efficiency, profitability, and safety in the logistics and manufacturing sectors”. But so far, the lack of a robust, yet flexible navigation technology has limited the scope and scale of automation in material handling operations. Mitsubishi Electric Automation releases new 3D simulator software

Mitsubishi Electric Automation has released its MELSOFT Gemini 3D Simulator Software to allow users to expedite the design and construction of manufacturing projects as they introduce new automation components to their facility.

By connecting to a variety of software and factory devices, Gemini provides visualization, simulation, and the streamlining of work processes.

Gemini operates using a PC-based 3D digital space and connects directly to factory devices without having to go through an OPC server. Halodi Robotics uses Ansys to simulate humanoid robots

Halodi Robotics is using Ansys simulation software through the Ansys Startup Program to develop its humanoid robots designed to work among humans in everyday environments.

Humanoid robots can help alleviate the growing labour shortage, and free critical personnel to focus on tasks that require their high-level skills.

Point One Navigation launches new software for autonomous vehicles

Point One Navigation, a specialist in precise positioning technology, has made its FusionEngine software compatible with ST’s TeseoAPP (Teseo ASIL Precise Positioning) GNSS Chipset.

Point One says the combined solution assures functional safety at ASIL-B, a critical requirement for Level 3+ ADAS systems.
