Andretti Autosport applies Stratasys 3D printing to components development

Andretti Autosport is partnering with Stratasys to apply 3D printing systems into its development of new components for its racing cars. 

The multi-year collaboration agreement between Andretti and Stratasys builds on decades of experience in additive manufacturing technology.

Yanu raises $1 million for its robotic bartender

Startup company Yanu has raised $1 million in funding for its artificial intelligence-powered robotic bartender. 

This is the company’s second seed investment round.

Airbus and Dassault Systèmes to partner on digital transformation

Airbus and Dassault Systèmes have signed a five-year Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to cooperate on the implementation of collaborative 3D design, engineering, manufacturing, simulation and intelligence applications.

This will enable Airbus to take a major step forward in its digital transformation and lay the foundation for a new European industrial ecosystem in aviation.

Under the MOA, Airbus will deploy Dassault Systèmes’ 3Dexperience platform, which delivers digital continuity, from design to operations, in a single data model, making digital design, manufacturing and services (DDMS) a company-wide reality for all Airbus divisions and product lines.

Building management: Fondation Louis Vuitton or the challenge of a multi-trade hypervision solution

The Fondation Louis Vuitton is a museum for contemporary art created by Bernard Arnault, owner of the LVMH group.

Designed by the American architect Frank Gehry, the building, in the form of a transparent cloud, is located in the heart of the Jardin d’Acclimatation and houses almost 11 galleries spread over three floors plus a 300-seat auditorium.

World’s largest automated lockers record broken

The National Expo Center in Kiev, Ukraine has set a new record for the highest number of automated lockers in one place.

The record was announced by the Guinness Records Committee as the largest electronic locking parcel lockers station in the world.

The Guinness Records Committee said “the most electronic locking parcel lockers in one single venue is 1,182”, granting the creators of the project with the “Officially Amazing” Guinness World Record certificate.  [Read more…] about World’s largest automated lockers record broken

Aceinna launches new guidance system for robots and other machinery

Aceinna has launched its new INS1000 dual band Real-Time Kinematic Inertial Navigation System with built-in inertial sensors for construction, agriculture and automotive applications.

The INS1000 embeds Aceinna’s 9 degree-of-freedom inertial sensor technology to achieve Automotive Dead Reckoning performance in GNSS challenged environments like urban canyons, heavily tree-lined roads, tunnels, underpasses, bridges, and so on.

The startup sees itself as a security company which just happens to use advanced technologies – including the robot – to provide its services.

Stop & Shop to launch self-driving mobile grocery stores

US retailer Stop & Shop says it will launch “driverless grocery vehicles” in the Greater Boston area beginning in Spring 2019.

The vehicles will bring a selection of Stop & Shop produce as well as meal kits and convenience items directly to consumers, so they can shop right at their doorsteps.
