Robotic Process Automation Market to Gain Impetus from Blue Prism’s Digital Workforce and its Exceptionally Secured Automation

July 9, 2020 by Polly

In a world full of cutting-edge technologies and advancements, robotic process automation (RPA) plays a meaningful part in systemizing tasks of the ultra-modern businesses.

The pursuit of efficient, smarter, and superior chatbots with higher intelligence has inexplicably increased the degree of automation processes; improving conventional business at the far end of the spectrum.

Yet there are so many blurring confusions about the function of RPA. Let’s clear that first! RPA can be simply put together as a tool intended to support business processes with automation. RIOS raises $5 million to launch robots with ‘human-level dexterity’

July 1, 2020 by David Edwards

RIOS, a developer of dexterous AI-powered robots for automating assembly lines, has come out of stealth mode and raised $5 million in venture funding.

RIOS, which spun out of Stanford University and was founded by former Xerox PARC engineers, helps customers automate their factories, warehouses, and supply chain operations by installing what it describes as a “new class of highly-dexterous robots” that handle hard-to-automate tasks in unstructured environments.

RIOS not only automates individual lines, but also builds “lights out” factories by partnering with its network of systems integrators. [Read more…] about RIOS raises $5 million to launch robots with ‘human-level dexterity’

The Future of Robotics in Large-Scale Clearing Operations

July 1, 2020 by David Edwards

Remote-controlled garbage bins used to glide through America’s most beloved theme parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney World, encourage visitors to put trash inside of them, but the widespread usage of robotics in larger-scale cleaning operations, such as land clearance, is still on the horizon.

Large machinery, such as mulchers, backhoes, and bulldozers, is generally utilized to clear spaces for new developments, whether they are industrial, commercial, or residential.

The technology used in these large machines is evolving rapidly, so these big machines do provide impressive performance. However, when it comes to efficient, eco-conscious cleaning and clearing in the future, robotics will surely play a bigger role. Effects of Commercial Robots in a Working Environment

May 22, 2020 by David Edwards

Robots have begun taking over the manufacturing and processing tasks in industries. Research has revealed that the robot market is expected to grow. Various industries have started taking robots seriously and are considering them as avenues of pioneering automation in the future.

Industrial robots or rather commercial robots are excellent because they can excel in workspaces that had previously been occupied by manual operators and execute their previous chores more meticulously.

Commercial robots come with safety measures that allow manual operators to work around them without fear of getting injured. [Read more…] about Effects of Commercial Robots in a Working Environment

Collaborative robots: A helping hand in healthcare

May 11, 2020 by Mai Tao

By Darrell Adams, head of Southeast Asia and Oceania, Universal Robots

Covid-19, the global pandemic, took the world by surprise and suddenly the healthcare system has to confront one of the toughest challenges on a global scale.

Healthcare workers are working round the clock and the intense workload at the frontline led to exhaustion in many, virus infection in others, and some sadly passed away in their line of duty.

Millions of nurses needed

The global healthcare system is cracking under the strain of this global pandemic. Yet, a recent report shows that globally, we are in need of 6 million more nurses to achieve global health targets, even without a global pandemic. This is an alarming number, and it is unlikely that over a short period of time, the demand can be met. [Read more…] about Collaborative robots: A helping hand in healthcare

For many ASEAN nations, manufacturing takes up a sizable chunk of the national GDP. For example, manufacturing in Singapore contributed 20.9 percent of Singapore’s GDP in 2019, according to the department of statistics Singapore.

Successful companies readily acknowledge one key factor contributing to their achievements – hardworking, committed and skilled employees who are the foundation of the companies.

However, manufacturers today face the primary challenge of filling open positions with skilled workers, which in turn affects overall productivity and growth. [Read more…] about Are You Ready to Survive the Future of Manufacturing?

4 Ways Robotics and AI Are Transforming Design and Creatives

March 10, 2020 by Polly

While AI and robotics have made waves in several industries, it would seem inconceivable to the uninitiated for robots and intelligent machines to make a mark in the creatives sector. How could systems be taught creativity?

In fact, when researchers from the Oxford Martin School ranked 702 occupations according to their susceptibility to computerization, jobs that center around creativity were least in danger.

Designers, curators, artists, choreographers, dancers, musicians, singers, writers, and authors were among those less likely to be replaced by robots. [Read more…] about 4 Ways Robotics and AI Are Transforming Design and Creatives
