GXO Logistics, which claims to be the world’s largest pure-play contract logistics provider, has launched an “industry-first” pilot of intelligent automation at its fashion e-commerce warehouse in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
GXO’s pilot of the Pick-it-Easy Robot station is tailored for one of its key global customers, in collaboration with value chain tech provider Knapp AG.

Photoneo, a developer of robotics for warehouse tasks, has raised $21 million in new funding.
The new funding was from AI Capital, IPM Group, Earlybird, Venture to Future Fund, and Credo Ventures as well as all investors who participated in previous investment rounds.

Serve Robotics, an autonomous sidewalk delivery robot company, has closed a $13 million expanded seed funding round.
The companies participating were strategic investors Uber Technologies; Delivery Hero backed DX Ventures; 7-Eleven’s corporate venture arm, 7-Ventures; and Wavemaker Partners’ food automation focused venture studio Wavemaker Labs.

Coco, the robot based delivery service, has launched Coco 1, a larger, more advanced version of its signature pink bot.
The Coco 1 is a first of its kind delivery robot designed and manufactured in partnership with the largest micro mobility hardware manufacturer, Segway.
Coco is currently implementing 1,000s of Coco 1 robots to serve local merchants in multiple cities, over the next few months. With its increased carrying capacity, the Coco 1 will deliver larger orders for a wider range of merchants, further eliminating the need for car-based delivery. The Estonian-based technology company Cleveron‘s unmanned autonomous vehicle took on the city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, to be part of a five-day pilot project carried out by logistics giant DPD Netherlands in partnership with Cleveron.
This marks the start of bringing autonomous delivery services to the public streets of the Netherlands, says Cleveron.

Berkshire Grey, a maker of robotic solutions for warehouses, has been selected by Bealls, an apparel and home merchandise retailer, to automate its supply chain.
Berkshire Grey says its robotic automation systems will handle expanding merchandise categories and fulfill orders quicker for Bealls, and the AI-enabled systems will help increase the processing capacity and throughput needed to meet “surging customer demand”.
